About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Houston. In this key role, you will support cost estimation efforts for large-scale energy projects through all phases—from concept studies to full Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) execution. The ideal candidate has a solid background in estimating for complex capital projects and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and prepare detailed and conceptual cost estimates for:
    • Engineering Studies
    • Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
    • Detailed Engineering & Procurement (EP)
    • Full EPC projects

  • Include proprietary equipment, subcontracted work, and professional services in estimates.
  • Lead small teams of estimators on larger assignments as needed.
  • Provide pricing for change orders and support project execution with trending and cost forecasting.
  • Conduct estimate reviews with internal stakeholders and management.
  • Assist in improving tools, historical data libraries, and estimation templates.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the energy or industrial sector.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with industry-standard or proprietary estimating software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Familiarity with multi-office execution and modular fabrication projects.
  • Experience working in field construction sites or module fabrication yards.
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Power BI, and quantitative risk analysis software.
  • Ability to perform cash flow modeling and risk-adjusted cost forecasting.
  • Understanding of AACE Class 1–5 estimating methodologies.
  • AACE certification or working knowledge of AACE best practices.
  • Subject matter expertise in disciplines such as civil, piping, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.
  • Background in energy transition or low-carbon infrastructure projects.
